Services We Offer

  • At Suvi Behavioral Health (SBH), individual therapy is a collaborative and healing process built on trust, curiosity, and care. Whether you’re new to therapy or returning after time away, this is a space to explore both the parts of you that feel strong and the ones that feel uncertain or stuck.

Many people begin therapy when navigating stress, anxiety, burnout, or relationship challenges—but therapy is also about rediscovering who you are and what matters most. Together, we look beneath surface symptoms to understand the patterns, emotions, and experiences that shape your life. From there, we work toward building resilience, confidence, and a deeper sense of self-connection.

Our approach draws from several therapeutic perspectives. We might explore how past experiences influence your present (psychodynamic), learn tools to shift unhelpful thoughts (CBT), or build greater self-compassion and flexibility (ACT). Each session is tailored to your needs and pace, so you can move toward meaningful, lasting change.

  • At Suvi Behavioral Health (SBH), couples therapy offers a path toward deeper connection, emotional clarity, and more resilient partnerships. Whether you're navigating ongoing conflict, communication breakdowns, or simply feeling distant from one another, therapy provides a space to pause, reflect, and rebuild together.

We offer two formats of couples therapy:

    • Traditional Couples Therapy (“Solo” format): In this approach, Sumita works individually with the couple to guide you through your relational challenges in a focused, supportive environment.

    • Co-Therapy for Couples: This unique option involves both Sumita and a trusted colleague, offering a collaborative two-therapist model. Co-therapy provides dual perspectives and greater emotional containment, which can be particularly effective for couples navigating high-conflict dynamics or complex relational histories.

Please reach out to explore which format may be the best fit for your needs.

    A Relationally-Rooted, Emotionally-Focused Approach

Our work with couples draws from an integrative therapeutic framework, combining Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) with psychodynamically-oriented couples therapy.

    • EFT helps couples identify and understand the underlying emotional dynamics that drive disconnection, reactivity, or conflict. Rather than focusing solely on surface-level behaviors, we explore the deeper needs and fears beneath each partner’s responses—building a foundation for secure emotional bonds and lasting closeness.

    • The psychodynamic lens invites each partner to look inward, exploring how early relational experiences and unconscious patterns shape present-day struggles. Together, we make sense of the relational blueprint each partner brings to the relationship, increasing empathy, insight, and compassion.

Through this process, couples are guided to:

    • Explore the day-to-day struggles within the broader context of longstanding relational dynamics

    • Identify patterns of avoidance, defensiveness, desire, or emotional shutdown

    • Develop new tools for communication, conflict resolution, and emotional intimacy

    • Build a more resilient and connected partnership, grounded in mutual understanding

Our goal is to create a safe, empathetic environment where both partners feel seen, heard, and supported in doing the courageous work of healing and growing together.

  • Group therapy provides a unique opportunity to learn about yourself through relationships with others. In a guided and supportive setting, you can explore how you connect, communicate, and relate—offering insights that individual therapy alone may not uncover.

Groups are especially helpful if you’ve noticed repeating patterns in friendships, family, or work relationships, or if you often feel misunderstood, isolated, or unsure how to express your needs. Group sessions offer a safe space to practice new ways of relating, receive honest feedback, and experience connection and support.

Groups at Suvi Behavioral Health (SBH) is facilitated with care and intention. The focus is on fostering emotional safety, authenticity, and curiosity—so members can build awareness, confidence, and a deeper sense of belonging.

  • Coaching at Suvi Behavioral Health (SBH) is designed for individuals seeking clarity, growth, and purpose in their professional and personal lives. It’s a space to pause, reflect, and realign with what matters most—so you can lead and live with greater intention.

Many of our coaching clients are high-achieving professionals who appear successful on paper but feel stuck or unfulfilled. Together, we explore what drives your decisions, the values behind your goals, and the internal blocks that hold you back.

Our coaching draws on both psychological insight and years of experience in corporate environments—including the beverage industry, commercial real estate, and investment banking. We understand the pace, pressure, and invisible demands that come with ambitious careers.

We’ll work on tangible goals—navigating transitions, strengthening leadership presence, improving communication—but always with an eye toward deeper alignment between who you are and how you show up. Growth here is both practical and personal, grounded in curiosity, self-awareness, and integrity.
